In recent weeks, our team — including Dr. Heintz, Dr. Blanckaerts, Ann Longueville, and Catherine Verdegem — traveled to Uganda for a two-week mission.
During this journey, they performed cataract surgeries completely free of charge and provided care for people with other eye conditions. Their dedication quite literally brought light back into the lives of many patients. A special highlight was the meeting with the Minister of Health, who personally came to support their work.
We are proud of our team’s warm and voluntary commitment. Eye care does not stop at the borders of our practice, and this mission is a wonderful testament to that.
